Cory Wheeler
Cory Wheeler, CPA

Principal

Cory Wheeler grew up on his family farm in Fairview, Montana where he learned the importance of hard work and perseverance. Upon graduation he spent six years in the Army as a Blackhawk helicopter mechanic where dedication and precision were imperative. Graduating Suma Cum Laude from North Dakota State University with a Masters in Accountancy, he returned to his roots in Richland County. He has been at Wheeler Accounting since 2010. His interests involve family, farming, and bringing back the skills, traits, and self-sufficiency of the old homesteaders through sausage-making and perhaps making a little shine.

Lori Obergfell

Payroll Manager/Office Manager

Lori Obergfell is currently the Payroll Manager and Office Manager at Wheeler Accounting. She started her career in 1986 at Child and Smith, PC and has experienced numerous owner transitions over the years. Throughout her 37 years working in payroll and accounting, she has navigated through several payroll and accounting changes. Her vast experience brings a wealth of knowledge to our firm and she is always up for the challenge of more changes. Lori was born and raised in Richland County. She and her husband Richard have three grown children and five grandchildren. Outside of work, she keeps plenty busy farming and ranching on the Obergfell family farm southeast of Sidney. When she does get a little time off, Lori enjoys traveling and following their grandchildren’s activities.

Chelsea Rogers

Payroll Clerk/Bookkeeper

Chelsea Rogers received her Associates degree in Accounting Technology from Miles Community College. In her current role, she assists with all things payroll including processing employee paychecks, making tax deposits, filing payroll reports and helping clients with audits and other special reporting, and bookkeeping. Her keen eye for detail and strong work ethic make her a perfect fit for this position. Chelsea is a Montana native and has been part of the Sidney community for seven years. She enjoys spending time with her husband, their two kids and two dogs.

Bobbi Cozzens
Bobbi Cozzens

Staff Accountant

Bobbi Cozzens joined the firm during the 2021 tax season, working in the front office and assisting with general office duties. Beginning in 2022, she has taken on the duties of a Staff Accountant which include bookkeeping, tax return preparation and more. So far she is enjoying the challenges of a busy office and helping coworkers and clients with their needs. Bobbi was born and raised in the Sidney area, but moved away to attend college and start a family. She and her husband Mark moved back to the Fairview area in 2010 to be closer to family. They have four kids and numerous animals. They spend a lot of their spare time chasing kids to their various school and sporting events. When not at work, Bobbi enjoys spending time at home reading, sewing and gardening. Her favorite pastime is camping and boating with friends and family during the summer.

Kassadee Olson
Kassadee Olson

Staff Accountant

Kassadee (Kass) started with our firm in the fall of 2022, while finishing up her high school degree. She graduated as the valedictorian from Sidney High School in May 2023. She is attending Montana State University – Billings for her degree in accounting and will eventually sit for the CPA exam. Within our firm, Kass works as a Staff Accountant, assisting with a wide range of accounting duties. Kass was born and raised in Sidney, and the majority of her family lives in the area. For fun, she designs kitchens. Outside of school and work, she enjoys baking and playing video games and board games with friends.

Julie Minow
Julie Minow

Seasonal Tax

Julie Minow has worked every tax season at our firm since 2000. Her primary responsibilities include preparing and filing 1099’s, general office duties, and overall keeping the office in line during the tax season. In the off-season, she and her husband Darrel operate the family farm and ranch near Squaw Gap. They have three children, Jessica, Mikayla and Lindsay, and four grandchildren so there is never a dull moment. When there is a little down time, Julie enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Rita Tofte
Rita Tofte

Seasonal Tax

Rita Tofte started with our firm in January 2024 for tax season and is now the Client Access Representative. Rita has many years of administrative experience. She enjoys the day-to-day client interactions and assisting clients wherever possible. She worked in the medical field for 25 years and decided to try something new. She has lived in Sidney most of her life. You can usually find her out working in her yard, spending weekends at the cabin, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Rita and husband Casey have three children and one grandchild.
